Typical fabrics

In Mallorca, there are unique traditional fabrics called "Teles de Llengües" (fabrics of tongues) that are an integral part of the island's culture and traditions. The production process of Mallorcan Ikat is entirely artisanal. These fabrics are hand-dyed with vibrant colors, the pre-treatment of the yarn is also done by hand, and they are made from cotton. Today, they are used to make curtains, tablecloths, tapestries, and more, adding character to Mallorcan homes. They are highly valued by visitors for their original designs, the striking colors used, and their aesthetic appeal in home decor.
